Knowing some of energy modalities

The materialist perspective about life, where people think that the material world is all there is and that life emanates from matter, has the upper hand and generally scorns at ideas that cannot be accessed by the senses. On the other hand, the idealist believes and adheres that there are things which cannot be accessed by the physical senses: here you can find different energy modalities.

Energy modalities have grown more popular these days, as people from all walks of life seek their own capacity to heal themselves. All over the world, there are different energy modalities. Here, let’s get to know three of these modalities and their differences and similarities. Thanks to the practitioners who have been so generous to share significant information about them:

Access Bars® – In an interview with Liberty ‘Tina’ Suelto, who has experienced Access Bars® 2012 and started using it since 2014, she shares about this modality and the benefits it brought to her life and the people around her.

“Access Bars® is a hands-on modality introduced by Gary Douglas. The Bars® are 32 unique points on the head that correlate to different areas and aspects of life. During an Access Bars session, a practitioner gently touches these points to release the electromagnetic charge of all thoughts, ideas, attitudes, decisions, and beliefs that may have limited you in the concerned life areas,” shares Tina. “It’s not referred to as healing compared to other modalities, since it focuses on “releasing” rather than trying to change or heal your state.”

“We have bar points for different beliefs that we hold onto. We have a bar point for money, control, creativity, sex, aging, joy, sadness, healing. It’s similar to acupressure or acupuncture but instead of organs, it’s the beliefs/programs we hold onto on those areas.

The Universe is always Gifting us everyday, the question is not whether we are being gifted but are we receiving? Access Bars is the easiest tool wherein one can receive and yet let go of so many things in different areas of life,“ imparts Tina.

Pranic Healing – Generous Pranic Healing practitioners like Atty. Dinah Tolentino-Fuentes, Stella Estremera, Ayyi Gardiola share about Pranic Healing:

“Pranic Healing is founded by Filipino Engr. Samson Choachuy of Cebu whose spiritual name is Master Choa Kok Sui, with the establishment of the Institute for Inner Studies Inc in April 1987, pranic healing is now in more than 154 countries,” shares Estremera.

“Pranic healing is an ancient form of treating ailments of the physical body using vital energy or prana. All cultures have been practicing similar forms of healing using this subtle pranic energy. They are known as shamanic healing, spiritual healing, healing by mantra among others,” says Atty. Tolentino-Fuentes.

“It was painstakingly, systematically and scientifically developed, revealed and taught globally by Master Choa Kok Sui. It is an alphabet, which opens the mind to the world of subtle energy. Prana or ki is life energy, which keeps the body alive. When the body’s prana or ki is too much or too little, the body becomes unhealthy. It is unable to function properly and eventually presents symptoms of illness. In Pranic Healing, prana is used to normalize the body’s energy and thereby accelerating the body’s natural ability to heal itself,” she adds.

Ayyi Gardiola, a Pranic Healer and Arhatic Yogi shares that in times of COVID-19, “having awareness on energy principles helps me keep fear and anxiety at bay, knowing that like attracts like, and what you focus on magnifies.

It’s not being in denial or escapism, rather being a master of one’s faculties enough to rise above the negativity. Practically speaking, when we let negative thoughts and emotions cloud our aura / energy body, it lowers our immune system and makes us more susceptible to catching lower vibrating energies such as viruses.

The daily practice of Meditation on Twin Hearts also helps me flush out all these negativity that might either be self generated or caught from other people and the environment. In that sense, it is also one good way to shield oneself from physical viruses and from being contaminated by prevailing negativity around us. It is also an energetic practice of service, through healing Mother Earth and all beings living on our planet, so we can still help eradicate this virus while in isolation in our homes.”

Reiki – As a Reiki-ho Practitioner, I have personally encountered and started the journey with Reiki in 2014.

Reiki is the immanent manifestation of the Great Universe. It is the flow of Love, Harmony, and Healing, and this correlates with the higher consciousness of humans. Reiki-ho enables us humans to employ Reiki for the purpose of making our lives peaceful and meaningful, and relieve us of anxiety.

Reiki is founded by Usui Mikao in the year 1922, after going on a fast and meditation in Mt. Kurama where he felt the strong universal Reiki wenth through his head and he was awakened to know the universe within him.

One does not use his or her own energy but becomes a clear pipe of Reiki to awaken the Reiki energy that perpetually resides in the person being healed. Personally, I have applied Reiki to my daughter who was suffering from skin asthma. It helped her cope with the itch as she was only nine when the breakouts happened.

Reiki is not a substitute for the medical interventions and allophatic medicine. Instead, it is used to support the healing process without interrupting the capacity of a person to heal himself.
