During the signing ceremony, Ruth Angeles, Chief Human Resources Officer of Jollibee Group Philippines and HR Head of Jollibee International, emphasized the company’s commitment to building a sustainable workforce pipeline, from equipping students with the skills to meet industry demands, facilitating knowledge sharing among experts and educators, and enhancing Jollibee Group’s employee capabilities. She highlighted that joy is at the heart of the Jollibee Group’s employer value proposition, which fosters a workplace where employees find purpose, growth, and a sense of belonging.

Together, the Jollibee Group and PUP will develop programs for students and Jollibee Group employees, providing them with more opportunities as they navigate their careers. The partnership includes preparing students to enter the workforce, as well as helping employees develop their expertise in the food industry.

“Collaboration is key in ensuring that both our employees and the next generation of talents are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive,” Angeles said. “By doing so, we empower individuals to build careers where they feel inspired every day. When we create opportunities for people to Choose Joy, we build a stronger workforce, a stronger industry, and a brighter future for our country.”

Gisela Tiongson, President of JGF, emphasized the broader societal impact of the partnership, noting that education is a critical driver of social mobility and economic progress.

“Through this collaboration, we hope not just to shape careers, but also to shape futures,” Tiongson shared. “We want to create pathways for students and employees to gain the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to succeed and contribute meaningfully to society by combining PUP’s academic excellence with our expertise.”

The partnership underscores JGF, Jollibee Group, and PUP’s shared commitment to equipping future professionals and employees with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to thrive in a rapidly evolving business landscape.
