Industry leaders to mentor MSMEs for free in Go Negosyo’s first MMOW rollout in 2020

Go Negosyo, in celebration of its 15th year anniversary, partners with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to launch its first Mentor ME on Wheels (MMOW) rollout for the year 2020 at SM Robinsons-Manila on January 27, 2020, 10 am.

More than 100 Go Negosyo mentors are joining this year’s first MMOW leg, to offer FREE one-on-one consultations to micro, small and aspiring entrepreneurs on the topics of entrepreneurship mind-setting and marketing.

With the vision of helping micro and small entrepreneurs level up through easing their access to money and market resources, Go Negosyo is bringing together different financing institutions to assist on the MSMEs’ financial or capital needs. Free consultations with banks and fin-tech platforms will be available from booths set up to grant and offer additional capital and loan opportunities to micro, small and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Among the Go Negosyo supporters, mentors, and industry leaders attending the event are DTI Sec. Ramon Lopez, Robina Gokongwei-Pe (President, CEO and Director of Robinsons Retails Holdings, Inc.), Mike Tan (President and COO of LT Group), Myrna Yao (CEO of Richwell Trading Corp.), Winston Uy (CEO of Universal Leaf), Henry Lim Bon Liong (CEO of SL Agritech Corp. and President of Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc.), Bing Limjoco (President of Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Rey Lapid (President and Founder of R Lapid’s Chicharon and BBQ), Josiah Go (Chairman of Mansmith and Fielders Inc.), Chiqiu Go (CEO of Mansmith and Fielders Inc.), Gianna Montinola (Senior Vice President for Corporate Affairs of Far Eastern University), and Flor Tariella (Chairman of Philippine National Bank). Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is also invited.

Following the success of our SIGN UP Expo summit last year, the mentorship session will also feature a SIGN UP expo as a side activity for entrepreneurs who want to sign up and enlist to different digital platforms and mobile startups. There will be an on-site onboarding by Philippines’ top digital platform players such as Angkas and Lalamove. These digital platforms will introduce their programs as possible revenue-generating opportunities to micro, small and aspiring entrepreneurs and their families.

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion said, “Mentorship is the center of Go Negosyo’s advocacy. Personal mentorship equips our MSMEs with essential technical knowhow, and provides them with important linkages to market and money opportunities so they can scale up.”

MMOW is a flagship program of Go Negosyo-DTI which aims to educate micro and small entrepreneurs of technical and practical know-how they can use in starting a career in entrepreneurship. This is in line with Go Negosyo’s mission of achieving inclusive growth through strong collaborations between the private and public sectors.
