HUGE HAUL | 2 men nabbed, P2-M in shabu seized

LAW ENFORCERS reported that they seized about P2 million worth from a high value target in an operation along Union Ave., Bangkal, Brgy Talomo on Wednesday.

Police Regional Director Benjamin Silo Jr., said the subject of the operation, Juner De Asis Biajedor, was a high value target as he was the number four in the regional list of top targets in relation to illegal drugs.

The report said a combined team from the Ecoland Police Precinct and the Regional Special Operation Group- Regional Drug Enforcement Uni arrested Biajedor while selling a big sachet to an agent in exchange for P2,000. More prohibited substances were recovered from him.

“The continuous apprehension of the high value individuals in Davao Region manifests the PRO’s dedication in putting end to the proliferation and trade of illegal drugs in the area,” Silo said.

Meanwhile, another person reportedly yielded about P120,000 in shabu as he was trying to enter the city through the Task Force Davao and Bunawan police checkpoint in Lasang yesterday.

Captain John Louie Dema-ala, Task Force Davao spokesperson, Johnrey Orang Dela Cruz., 41, married, a resident of Villa Felipa Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental yielded two sachets of shabu weighing about eight grams when he was frisked at the checkpoint.

Dema-ala said the arrest was a result of the intensified security campaign of law enforcement agencies as the security sector has been conducting simulation exercises against threats. Part of the exercise was placing the borders on lockdown for a certain period of time.

Colonel Darren E. Comia, Task Force Davao commander, lauded the soldiers as he pointed out that the troops have “never lowered their guards especially in crucial times.”
