Davao City – Title contenders GJAPS Pirates and team Lorejo scored second wins at the expense of separate foes, Sunday in the ongoing Uraya 40s Basketball Club (UFBC) Season 3 at the Elenita Heights Subdivision Phase II covered court.
Playing captain Japs Sabio drilled 21 points to lead GJAPS Pirates past MDI Carwash 87-77 for their second win backed by the duo of Raul Constantino and Bong Papellera who finished with 19 and 10 points, respectively.
Tejada had 18 baskets on a losing effort for MDI Carwash which dropped to their second setback.
Team Lorejo duplicated GJAPS Pirates’ feat after beating DC Construction , 90-84 with DJ Dasas leading the way with 19 points.
