A 42-year-old woman died in a motorcycle crash along Coastal Road, Punta Dumalag in Davao City, around 2:10 p.m. on Sept. 28.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson for the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), identified the victim as Honee Grace Montejo, 42, married, and a resident of Baring Compound, Matina.
According to the DCPO report, she was driving her Yamaha R3 motorcycle and crashed into a gutter near Malagos Mangrove. Due to the impact, the driver was thrown onto the road, landing several feet away from the point of impact.
She sustained severe injuries and received initial first aid from the responding Barangay Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Center (BDRRMC) of Barangay Bago Aplaya before being turned over to Central 911 paramedics.
Montejo was transported to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
