FAKE SHOTS | Mayor warns public against fake vaccines

MAYOR Sara Duterte has urged the public to be vigilant against the proliferation of (COVID-19) vaccines.

“Ang mga tawo dapat maging vigilant. Last year paman nang mga black market sa bakuna,” Duterte said Monday, pointing out that only the national government has the access and the authority to secure these vaccines.

“Kung dunay mga tawo diha nga maglako og magtunol og bakuna, dapat magduda napo” she added, urging the public to be alarmed when somebody sells a COVID-19 vaccine to them.

She also urged the public to report to the authorities those that would sell these bogus vaccines.
“Dapat jud magduol mo sa atoang FDA og DOH maaksyunan nila og walay mabiktima sa fake nga bakuna,” Duterte said.

The city government has laid out its vaccination program as it has started giving shots to medical frontline workers after receiving vaccines from the national government.

It has also secured additional vaccines through an agreement between itself, the national government and the company producing these vaccines as additional shots are set to arrive in the third quarter of the year.
