EXPOSITION de PiNAS- is a unique opportunity for artists in the arts discipline to meet, interact, and network. This year’s collaborative exhibit featuring the Mindanawon and International artists will have its opening reception on May 14 at the La Herencia-Davao. This exhibit will feature prints, paintings, wood carvings, and sculptures. The showcase will run until May 31, 2024, and it’s always free admission to the public.
This year’s art exhibition project entitled “ARTcetera”- is highly participated by International artists Deeksha Nayyar Arya and Charushila Kakade, both from India now based in the USA, Herve Alexandre, a French artist doing art residencies globally, Alvin Araiz-a Dabawenyo architect and Canada-based artist, Theresa Valla-artist, performer, and environmentalist living in New York, award-winning musician and painter in LA, California -Johnny Es Jotilano, and also California’s pride-artist and sculptor-Sal Budz Floriano, and lastly, Bien Bañez, the comeback-Davaoeño living surrealist from Williamsburg Art & Historical Center in New York.
ARTcetera is not only an exhibit highlighting our International artists from around the world, but also a shared collective exposition showcasing our country’s emerging and established artists. Recognizing their artistry in the fields of Painting, Woodcarving, and Sculpture.
Among the Mindanawon visual artists participating are Chico Arquiza, Anoy Catague, Danny Chua, Pipo Cruz, Rey Fuentes, Joshua Gomez, Henry Lazaro, Kamloi Morales, Carlo Pantig, Jerry Ramos, Benjie Saban, Jong Tangiday, Rob Tañedo, Jojo Jimenez, Lamberto, Donna Abarquez, Fides Badongon, Joy Sabitsana, Jaiza Jumawan, and Raymund Malicay. The artist’s rejuvenation and the desire to explore new techniques, styles, and mediums are what they aim to showcase. Allowing each one to play with their unique and exciting ways of creativity beyond the artist’s wildest imagination.
