THEY’RE not your typical heroes. They’re definitely not your usual team, either. But when the stakes are sky-high and no one else is left to call, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) turns to its most unexpected lineup yet.

In “Thunderbolts,” set to premiere in Philippine cinemas on Wednesday, April 30, a crew of powerful misfits is thrown together for a mission they didn’t ask for and might not even survive.

Led by familiar faces with complicated pasts, “Thunderbolts” dives into a gritty, unpredictable chapter of the MCU where redemption, revenge, and reluctant teamwork collide.

Assembling a band of unlikely and resistant heroes

Set after years of chaos, betrayal, and trauma, Thunderbolts* begins when Yelena Belova (Academy Award-nominee Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier (Academy Award-nominee Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (Emmy Award-nominee David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), US Agent John Walker (Wyatt Russell), and Bob (Emmy Award-nominee Lewis Pullman) find themselves pulled into a deadly trap set by none other than the manipulative Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (11-time Emmy Award-winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

Now branded and backed into a corner, this unlikely crew of assassins, soldiers, and walking red flags must work together (or at least pretend to) to pull off a mission that may just be the end of them all. They’re not super, not heroes, and not giving up.

A mission fueled by mayhem

Thunderbolts” marks a bold departure from the polished heroism of past Marvel chapters. Here, the spotlight turns to the complex, the feared, and the forgotten characters who have spent their lives as weapons, outcasts, or government pawns. Now, they must come together not to save the world, but to survive it, and maybe, along the way, prove they’re more than the mistakes behind them.

Directed by Jake Schreier and produced by Kevin Feige, “Thunderbolts” delivers a gripping mix of action, attitude, and emotional intensity.

Brace yourselves for the chaos. Get your tickets now as Thunderbolts* crashes into cinemas nationwide on Wednesday, April 30. Watch the official trailer here.
