Drug den dismantled, five nabbed in raid

LAW ENFORCERS have reported that they have dismantled a drug den and arrested five individuals during an operation in Purok 36, San Agustin, Talomo Proper, Thursday.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI chief Aileen Lovitos identified the target of the operation as Jezrel Adlawan, 27, lineman and a resident of Cateel, Davao Oriental.

Lovitos said, Adlawan was arrested for selling about P6,000 of shabu to an agent of the agency who posed as buyer.

Also arrested during the raid were “drug den maintainer” Antonio Mangin Sr. and drug den visitors Leo Alquizar Jr., Daniel Bustamante and Alan Leal. 

The raid was conducted by the agents of the PDEA XI Special Enforcement Team,  with National Bureau of Investigation XI South Eastern Mindanao Regional Office (SEMRO) and Talomo Police Station.

Seized from those arrested were two sachets of what was believed as shabu with an estimated value P180,000, drug paraphernalia and the money used in the operation.

Those arrested will be sued for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the agency reported.
