Service disruptions on April 25, 29, 30, and May 1 in different parts of Davao City

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on April 25, 29, 30, and May 1, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on April 25, Tuesday to repair a leaking transformer at Dumoy Substation.

Specifically affected are customers along Pan-Philippine Highway from Davao Light Puan Substation to Sirawan, including Apo Gulf, Gulf View Subdivision, St. Felix Hospital, Harvy’s Kambingan, Erico T. Nograles NHS, J15 Shop Japan Surplus, McDonald’s Bago Aplaya, Road to Mergrande, Davao Doctor’s Toril, Pepsi Cola, Julu Feeds, Dumoy Road, GTH, Villa Carmelita Inland Resort, Malta Medical Center, Descuatan, Toril Proper, Lubogan, Tagakpan-Manambulan Road, Gaisano Mall Toril, Gaisano Grand Toril, Saavedra Street, Eden-Bayabas, Catigan, Sirawan Gym, and neighboring areas.

The second set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on April 29, Saturday to conduct isolation of affected lines, while the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on May 1, Monday. These power interruptions are necessary to conduct 69kV Line Stringing and pole erection near the junction of Davao-Bukidnon Road and Keith Williams Road.

Specifically affected are customers in a portion of Ulas, Talomo, Puan, Bago Aplaya, Bago Gallera, Dumoy, Toril and Sirawan, including Ulas Proper, Mitra Village, Sunny Village, San Agustin Ulas, San Lorenzo Homes, Teachers Village, Talomo proper, Muslim Village, Talomo Beach, Salacot Talomo, Solariega Subdivision, St. Benedictine Priory, San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers in Castro Village, Versary Village, Gulf View Subdivision, Catotal Subdivision, and neighboring areas, as well as those in Solariega Talomo, UUHSA Village Ulas, Libby Road, Lorenzo Village, Carmelo Subdivision, Reldo Village, San Lorenzo Village, Bago Aplaya, Adciville Subdivision, Rosalina Village 1, Susana Farm, Toscana Subdivision, Amiya Residences, Lower Rapnaga, Apo Golf and Country Club, and neighboring areas.

Customers in Ideal Subdivision, Bago Aplaya Landless Association, Divino Compound Bago Aplaya, Bliss Project, Villa Mercedita Bago Aplaya, Balai Bago Aplaya, D’Garden Bago Aplaya, Sto. Rosario Village, Dusnai Subd, Greenland Subdivision, Hinundayan Homes Dumoy Toril, Sison Subdivision, Dacoville Subdivision, Don Lorenzo Homes, DLF Village, Toril Country Homes, Jose Bastida Elementary School, Magsaysay Elementary School, Juan Dela Cruz Elementary School, Davao Central College, Dona Carmen Denia City High School, Dr. P Ocampo College, Davao Doctors Hospital Dumoy, Mergrande Resort, Paraiso Beach, Dumoy Beach Resort, Mervillas, Waterworld Resort, and neighboring areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.

Also affected are customers from Dumoy Substation, Bago Aplaya URC to near Phoenix Gas Station Dumoy to Harvey’s Kambingan, and neighboring areas, as well those from URC to Lubogan Cemetery Toril, including Gallera de Oro Subdivision, Kaliraya Homes, Spring Valley Subd Bago Gallera, JCEP Village Bago Gallera, Purok 2 Bago Gallera, Susan Homes Baliok, Bagahai Brgy Baliok and, neighboring areas.

Customers from Bago Bridge to UFC Dumoy, Pepsi Cola, Malta Medical Center, and neighboring areas; Felcris Toril to Carabao Monument Way Park, Eden-Bayabas Toril, and neighboring areas; Toril Proper, Descuatan, Saavedra St., and nearby areas; and Gaisano Mall Toril, Gaisano Grand Toril, Catigan, Sirawan Gym, and nearby areas will also experience these service disruptions.

The third set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on April 30, Sunday to conduct isolation of affected lines, while the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the same date. These are necessary to facilitate the 69kV line stringing and pole erection near the Junction of Davao-Bukidnon Road and Keith Williams Road; and 13.8 kV Pole Relocation along Davao Bukidnon Road.

Specifically affected are customers in a portion of Catalunan Grande, from Crossing Diversion Road to Skyline Subdivision and neighboring areas; as well as those in the entire Ulas, Bangkal, Matina, Ecoland, Maa, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers from corner Gempesaw St. and Ramon Magsaysay Ave. to Leon Garcia St., Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Boulevard to Ecoland, including Bucana, and Monteverde to Villa Abrille and neighboring areas; those from San Pedro Square and nearby areas; as well as the entire Agdao, Lanang, Pampanga, Sasa, and neighboring areas.

Customers from a portion of Mamay Road from St. Anthony Subdivision to JP Laurel Junction, JP Laurel from Go Hotel Lanang up to Carmelite Church, including SM Lanang, and neighboring areas; as well as those in Davao Mighty Steel Corporation will also be affected by these service disruptions.

Also affected are customers from Tigatto, Mandug and Callawa areas; including Panorama Homes, Juliville Subdivision, Victor’s Village Tigatto, DDF Village, Deca Homes Tigatto, Callawa, Lapanday Foods, Dona Pilar Rodriguez Elementary School, Mandug Elementary School, Callawa Elementary School, Pablo Lorenzo National High School, Fatima Elementary School, Brgy. Talandang, Sitio Bunggan, Brgy. Lampiano, Prk 4 Brgy. Dalagdag – Calinan District, Palos Verdes Commercial Establishment, and the immediate environs.

Lastly, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on April 30. Sunday, to isolate the work site for the 69kV line stringing and pole erection.

Specifically affected are customers along Davao Bukidnon Road, from Crossing Ulas to Hacienda Subdivision, including Davao Eagle Ridge Resort, San Pedro College, BRC Village, Bacanaya Village, Sincere Subdivision, Batalla Village, Hacienda Subdivision, and neighboring areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is paramount to the company, and Davao Light reminds the public always to take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
