DCPO: Robbery suspect arrested

A 20-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for an attempted robbery at Centro Estates Corp. along Loyola Street, Barangay Paciano Bangoy, around 12:46 a.m. on Nov. 25.

Captain Hazel Tuazon, the spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office, identified the suspect as Jaylord, a single laborer residing in Babak, San Isidro District, Davao del Norte. 

The complainant, alias Eliez, is a 36-year-old businessman residing in Catalunan Pequeño.

Police received a call reporting a robbery in progress at Centro Estates Corp. In response, PCpl Fraxie Omega on board Mobile 21 went to the area and caught the suspect in the act inside the establishment. 

Meanwhile, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) is conducting a hot pursuit operation to apprehend the robber who held up a business center in Royal Valley, Bangkal on Nov. 22.

Tuazon said the Talomo Police Station is leading the investigation.

The police report described the robber as a lone individual, about 5’7″ tall, wearing a red and white motorcycle sweatshirt, dark pants, a brown belt bag, and a black half-face helmet.

Witnesses said the suspect kicked open the center’s door and pointed a weapon at the employees while forcibly taking money and other valuables. The robber escaped on a motorcycle with P30,000 in cash, a Lenovo tablet, an Acer Nitro 15 laptop, and a Michael Kors watch.
