DCPO breaks ground on new state-of-the-art security gate 

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) broke ground yesterday on a P8.5 million two-way gate with guardhouse project, designed to bolster security and enhance operational efficiency at its headquarters.

 The project signifies a critical investment in modern infrastructure to streamline access, promote safety, and support the mission of the PNP.

Fr. Emmanuel Gonzaga, the parish priest of Sacred Heart of Jesus, held a blessing and prayer for the ceremony.

Furthermore, Col Roel Flores, the Police Regional Office ( PRO) XI chief of the regional staff; Col Cesario Dukiling, regional chief RLRDD; Lt Col Joseph Casauay, regional chief, REU XI; Lt Col Jed Clamor, officer-in-charge of DCPO; Lt Col Paulino Zaulda Jr., deputy city director for operations, and Engr. Elma E. Abella, Everton General Construction and Development Corporation contractor led the dropping of the ceremonial time capsules, symbolizing the official start of construction.

The two-way gate with guardhouse project has a total cost of P8,546,577.85. It is designed to regulate and optimize the flow of vehicles and individuals entering and exiting the premises, improving traffic management while maintaining high levels of security. 

The system will feature state-of-the-art technology, including automated entry points, surveillance, and real-time monitoring systems. 

Construction is expected to be completed by June 22, 2025.

The groundbreaking ceremony concluded with a brief tour of the site and a pledge from the PNP leadership to continue striving for excellence in all aspects of law enforcement and public service.
