DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on Dec. 2, 3, 4, and 5, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte. These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at ERA Substation.
The first set of switching power interruptions will be for 30 minutes, anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 2, Saturday, to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 11:00 p.m. on Dec. 3, Sunday to 1:00 a.m. on Dec. 4, Monday.
Specifically affected are customers connected to Dumoy and Toril Substations: those along Davao-Digos Road from Harvey’s Kambingan going to Gaisano Grand Toril including a portion of Libby Road, Rasay St., Agton St., Lubogan, and all neighboring areas.
The second set of switching power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 11:00 p.m. on Dec. 2, Saturday, to 1:00 a.m. on Dec. 3, Sunday to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 10:00 p.m. on Dec. 3, Sunday to 1:00 a.m. on Dec. 4, Monday.
Specifically affected are customers connected to Binugao, P. Reyes, Gaisano, Victoria, Buhangin, Panacan, R. Castillo, Pampanga, Panabo, and San Vicente Substations: from Gaisano Mall Toril going to Binugao as well as a portion of downtown area from Claveria St. going to Abreeza, Bajada including C. Bangoy Sr. St., Bonifacio, Quirino, F. Torres, Circumferential, Bankerohan going to Matina Town Square and Sandawa Area. Also affected are those in Obrero, Bacaca Road going to Diversion Rd from Earth Grain to corner Jade Valley.
Customers from R. Castillo going to Panacan including Buhangin, Cabantian, and Pampanga area, Licanan from Task Force going to Carmen, Panabo downtown area, and San Vicente area; as well as DICT, Steel Asia, and all neighboring areas, will also be affected by these service disruptions.
The third set of power interruptions will be for 1 hour anytime between 11:00 p.m. on Dec. 2, Saturday, to 1:00 a.m. on Dec. 3, Sunday to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for 1 hour and 30 minutes, anytime between 11:00 p.m. on Dec. 4, Monday to 1:00 a.m. on December 5, Tuesday.
Specifically affected are customers connected to Bajada Substation: from Abreeza to Carmelite Bajada Buhangin Road up to Samulco, and all neighboring areas.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
