Cops kill ‘drug dealer’ in alleged shootout

AN ALLEGED drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust by the Tugbok police along Wisconsin Alley, Phase 1, Deca Homes, Barangay Tugbok Proper, around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21.

Meanwhile, three other individuals were also arrested in separate buy-bust operations.

Police have yet to identify the complete identity of the suspect alias Dong.

Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), said the suspect was considered a street-level target and a robbery-theft suspect.

According to the report, the suspect was caught in the act of selling suspected marijuana to poseur-buyers. He allegedly accepted the genuine P500 bill and another P3,500 in paper money. 

He reportedly pulled his gun after sensing that he was about to be arrested. Police fired back and gravely wounded him. The suspect was brought to the Southern Philippines Medical Center but did not survive.

Meanwhile, elements of the Task Force Davao and the Bunawan Police Station arrested Jaymar Rabor after they found shabu in his possession while passing through the Licanan checkpoint in Barangay Lasang around 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22.

Police confiscated the 0.80 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P12,800.

On Saturday, Rodrigo Ang Jr. was arrested by the Talomo police in an entrapment operation conducted inside Luzon Compound, Tulingan Street., Barangay Wilfredo Aquino, at 5:17 pm.

According to the report, the suspect sold a sachet of shabu to a cop in exchange for P500.

Seized from him were 0.54 grams of drugs with an estimated value of P3,672.

Also, Cedrex Abadilla was arrested in an operation conducted by the Toril police in Saint Jude Fatima, Barangay Daliao, around 9:15 p.m. on Oct.21.

 

Seized from him were two sachets of shabu weighing 0.17 grams worth P1,156.

   

The suspects face an appropriate case for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
