Clark bolsters Asia-Pacific business ties

BINH DUONG, VIETNAM – The Asia Pacific region’s premier meeting of top leaders from business and government showcased Clark Freeport as a prime investment and tourism destination, held here from December 3-5.

During the Horasis Asia Meeting 2023, Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, President and CEO of Clark Development Corporation (CDC), highlighted the importance of business interdependence among Asian nations and emphasized Clark’s strategic significance and economic contribution to the country.

“We should be conscious of our collaboration because that’s the only way we can strengthen the Asia Pacific region,” said Atty. Devanadera.

“To revitalize Asian growth, we must leverage our strengths to address weaknesses through knowledge sharing and cooperation,” she added.

Co-hosted by the provincial People’s Committee and Becamex IDC Corp., the meeting discussed global issues such as creating intelligent communities, attracting investments, innovation, developing Artificial Intelligence (AI) application technology, human resources, digital transformation, and sustainable development.

The CEOs meeting in the southern province attracted over 700 participants. The Clark delegation, led by Atty. Devanadera included Elenita Lorenzo and Charisse Lacson from Tourism Promotions, Erwin Pattaui from Investment Promotions Division II, and Astrud Aguinaldo from the Communications Division.
