THE CITY Government on Friday commemorated deadly Roxas Night Market bomb attack, which is going on its seventh year on Sept. 2.

The simple remembrance was led by Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, Task Force Davao, Davao City Police Office, survivors, and the families of victims.

The bombing killed 15 and injured 70 others last Sept. 2, 2016.

Your anguish can never be compensated. But each family here must know that the city government is here, I am here, we will be with you in your grief) ,” Duterte said.

Duterte also thanked law enforcement agencies and Task Force Davao soldiers for continuously keeping the city secure from terror. He assured that the city is doing everything it can to prevent a repeat of the tragic incident.

The mayor also assured survivors and family members of those who perished that the financial and educational assistance from the local government will continue.
