Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB) received an award of appreciation from the Department of Social Work and Development (DSWD) for its significant contribution in providing logistical support during calamities and disasters.
In its Volunteers and Partners’ Recognition Day, the DSWD commended CEB, alongside other government agencies, private organizations and dedicated volunteers, for delivering humanitarian assistance and relief to communities in need.
“We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to our valued partners and volunteers who extended their support to the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau in delivering immediate responses to families affected by various calamities. We are grateful to have you as our volunteers and partners and commend all of you for your outstanding contributions to alleviating the suffering of vulnerable and disadvantaged people during crisis situations,” said Diana Rose Cajipe, undersecretary of DSWD-Disaster Response Management Group.
In 2023, CEB airlifted more than 258 metric tons of humanitarian cargo, showcasing the airline’s unwavering dedication to supporting communities in times of crisis.
