THE ANCILLARY Service Unit will be conducting road clearing operations in various streets in the barangays in Davao City on March 13 to March 24
At the iSpeak Media Forum in the City Health Office Building, ASU Head, Paul Bermejo announced that they will continue to carry out road clearing operations with expanded road clearing teams for the month of March.
On March 13, they will begin the road clearing in Barangay 76-A Bucana, the Daang Patnubay, Aquino, and SIR streets. March 20 in Barangay 5-A, Datu Bago street, March 17, Barangay 29-C, Jacinto, Guerrero, Magsaysay, and Luna streets. On March 24, Barangay 27-C, St. Ana, Leon Garcia, Fernandez streets.
The obstacles that will be cleared during the operations are construction debris, tricycles, trisikads, private vehicles parked on roads, and garbage wastes. They are prioritizing these areas as these roads lead to densely populated areas. Clearing the obstacles will also give way for responding teams to handle disasters or calamities.
Bermejo also added that they are aiming to finish the road clearing operation 100 percent as they had also successfully finished operations last Jan to Feb.
“So on March 24, we hope to be able to accomplish 100 percent,” he said.
