Another man nabbed for shabu

THE Task Force Davao reported that a bus passenger was collared on Tuesday after yielding illegal drugs at the checkpoint in Lasang.

Last week, four others were also arrested in checkpoints.

The latest to get arrested was Ricardo Pregunta Palen, 35, single, a resident of Purok 6 Siocon, Compostela, Davao de Oro who yielded two sachets of suspected shabu worth about P42,400 when he was inspected at the Lasang checkpoint.

Palen was brought to the Bunawan Police Station as a case against him was being prepared.

The unit also recorded  the four arrests last week where about P18,000 in illegal drugs was seized.

Among those arrested was Arnel B. Saldariega, 37 years old, married, Purok 5, Poblacion, Sta Cruz, Davao Del Sur, who was on his way to the city on his motorcycle when he was flagged down at the Sirawan checkpoint. He yielded P17,600 in shabu.

The report said two others were collared at the Toril checkpoint on Sunday and another one at the Lasang checkpoint on Saturday.
