Alabel, Sarangani, 8 September 2023—Alsons Development and Investment Corporation (Alsons Dev), in partnership with the Municipal Government of Alabel, breaks ground for the Alabel Public Safety and Security Complex, the first integrated emergency response center in SOCCSKSARGEN that combines three government support facilities: a police station, a fire substation, and a satellite emergency operations center, in one address.
Located within Avia Estate, a new master-planned, mixed-use township developed by Alsons Dev in Alabel, Sarangani, the 1,800-sqm complex is a collaborative project between the real estate firm and the Alabel LGU. The initiative aims to enhance safety, uphold law and order, and bring emergency services closer to the residents of Alabel and neighboring communities. The facility will be constructed by Alsons Dev and donated to the Alabel LGU, who will then turn over the operations of the police and fire stations to the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection, respectively. The satellite emergency operations center will be operated by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, overseen by the Alabel LGU.

The groundbreaking coincides with Alabel’s 52nd Foundation Anniversary and the 22nd Kasadyaan Festival of the municipality of Alabel. Alabel Mayor Vic Paul Salarda and Alsons Dev officials led the groundbreaking ceremony, with the presence of local dignitaries such as Sarangani Congressman Steve Solon and Governor Ruel Pacquiao, among others.
“The Alabel Safety and Security Complex is a manifestation of our festival theme of celebrating progress, economic development, abundance, cultural diversity, and excellence,” said Mayor Vic Paul Salarda. “By working closely with private entities like Alsons Dev, we are able to improve the lives of our residents. We are grateful for partnerships that enable us to better serve the people.”
The Alabel Public Safety and Security Complex will be the second integrated emergency response facility constructed and donated by Alsons Dev to the local government. In 2016, Alsons Dev turned over the Public Safety and Security Complex in Northtown to the City Government of Davao City.
