Samsung unpacks new Galaxy S25 series devices

SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS Co. held its unpacking for the brand new Galaxy S25 series mobile devices Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 offering the best personalized mobile experiences and the latest Galaxy AI features.

The company hosted its Galaxy Unpacked January 2025: Official Livestream on Jan 22 (Jan 23, 2:00 am PH Time) in San Jose, California, unveiling the Galaxy S25 series’ new high-end upgrades and expanding the Galaxy AI capabilities that set a new standard for true AI companionship.

During the livestream, the president and head of Samsung Electronics Mobile division TM Roh highlighted the company’s partnership with Google’s Gemini AI to be more accessible on Galaxy devices and function as a more helpful mobile assistant.

Samsung’s One UI 7 transforms the Galaxy S25 series into a reliable companion that provides users with personalized AI experiences, needs, preferences, and privacy security to ensure personal data safety.

Galaxy S25 series devices are now powered by the Snapdragon® 8 Elite for Galaxy, the most high-powered processor used in Samsung’s Galaxy S series providing a performance boost in NPU of 40%, 37% in CPU, and 30% in GPU. Also, the newest devices feature AI functions to provide the best and most efficient AI processing.

In addition to the hardware, Galaxy S25 series is equipped with the Vulkan Engine with improved Ray-Tracing that showcases graphics fidelity and delivers optimized mobile gaming performance.

To ensure smooth gaming experiences, an advanced design of the heat dissipation architecture has been added with a 40% larger vapor chamber (15% for Galaxy S25+ and S25) including a tailored TIM (thermal interface material) for extra thermal efficiency).

Among the three devices, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra introduces a Corning Gorilla Armor 2 that features the best durability, being the industry’s first anti-reflective glass ceramic and scratch-resistant for mobile devices.

For mobile photography, the devices will have a new upgraded 50MP Ultra Wide camera for greater clarity and vibrant picture taking. Video recordings include a 10-bit HDR and an audio eraser to remove unwanted background noises such as winds, crowds, music, etc.

Pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 series devices will be on Jan 13 to Feb 13 with the launch date to occur on Feb 14.
