ALMOST P3 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) units from 37 individuals in multiple buy-bust operations conducted from Nov. 10 to 16.
DCPO chief Col. Hansel Marantan said police conducted 29 anti-illegal drug operations resulting in the seizure of 432.59 grams of shabu worth P2,941,612 and 153.021 grams of marijuana worth P18,362.52.
In addition to its anti-drug efforts, DCPO also intensified its crackdown on illegal gambling, arresting one individual and confiscating P50 in bet money. Law enforcers also conducted 35 operations and apprehended 42 fugitives, including 10 most wanted persons and 35 other wanted individuals.
Furthermore, the DCPO conducted four targeted operations, resulting in the arrest of three and the seizure of three loose firearms.
Marantan said the DCPO remains committed to enforcing the law, respecting human rights, and ensuring a safer Davao City.
