THE DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on November 4, 5, and 6, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.
The first set of switching power interruptions will be for 30 minutes, anytime between 10:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. on November 4, Saturday, to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on November 6, Monday. These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at Bajada Substation.
Specifically affected are customers along Davao-Digos Road from Harvey’s Kambingan going to Gaisano Grand Toril including a portion of Libby Road, Rasay St., Agton St., Lubogan, and all neighboring areas.
The second set of switching power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on November 4, Saturday, to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on November 6, Monday. These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at ERA Substation.
Specifically affected are customers in the portion of the downtown area including Claveria St, C. Bangoy, San Pedro St., Quirino St., Magallanes St, a portion of J.P. Laurel Avenue, and a portion of Uyanguren St.
Also affected are customers from Gaisano Grand Mall Toril going to Binugao, including Catigan, Sirawan, Baracatan, and all neighboring areas
The third set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on November 4, Saturday, to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on November 6, Monday. These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at Gaisano Substation.
Specifically affected are customers in the portion of J.P. Laurel Avenue from Gaisano Substation going to Aeon Towers Bajada, Bacaca up to a portion of Diversion Road, a portion of Guererro and Uyanguren Streets, including Gaisano Mall Bajada, and all neighboring areas.
The fourth set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on November 4, Saturday, to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on November 6, Monday. These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at Victoria Substation.
Specifically affected are customers from the whole Barrio Obrero area, a portion of J.P. Laurel Avenue, from El Bajada up to Abreeza Carpark including Victoria Plaza and all neighboring areas.
The fifth set of switching power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on November 4, Saturday, to conduct isolation of affected lines. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on November 6, Monday. These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works at Bajada Substation.
Specifically affected are customers from Abreeza Carpark entrance up to Carmelite Bajada, Buhangin Road up to Crossing Milan including SPMC, MDMRC, Abreeza Mall, and all neighboring areas.
Lastly, the sixth power interruption will be for 10 hours anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. on November 5, Sunday to relocate the poles along Bajada.
Specifically affected are customers in the part of Gaisano 3 from NBI Bajada up to Bajada Substation.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
