Universal Robina Corp. (URC) has bagged three certifications recognizing three of its business units – in the Philippines, Vietnam and Indonesia – as some of Asia’s best workplaces in 2023.
“We’re truly honored to be among the best workplaces in Asia. These consecutive recognitions and certifications for our different units are significant accomplishments for the organization, as they show that URC’s corporate culture fosters a flexible, nurturing work environment that lets talents and careers thrive,” said Irwin Lee, URC’s president and CEO.
He said the certifications reflect URC’s “unwavering commitment to cultivating a vibrant work culture that not only transcends borders but resonates deeply with each employee”.
URC Philippines was certified as the “best place to work for” after a comprehensive two-week employee survey that scrutinized various areas of the work environment, including leadership, human resources practices and personal growth opportunities.
It was also cited as among HR Asia’s “best companies to work for in Asia”, following employee surveys that identified Asia’s best employers, as well as those with the best HR practices.
URC Vietnam was also in HR Asia’s list.
The awards by these two business units “stand as a ringing endorsement of their workplace culture, which is characterized by high levels of employee engagement and beneficial HR programs”, said Lee.
URC Indonesia, meanwhile, was again certified as a “great place to work for”, also via an employee survey.
The business unit has consistently been praised for enhancing its company culture and ensuring an exceptional environment for its employees.
“In a landscape where a company’s success is inextricably linked to the satisfaction and well-being of its workforce, URC stands tall, proving that a people-centric philosophy forms the bedrock of a global, world-class enterprise,” said Lee.
