P50-K worth of shabu seized in buy-bust

MORE THAN P50,000 worth of shabu was seized from an alleged drug suspect in a buy-bust operation Riverbed, Barangay 22-C, on Monday, Oct. 24.

Lt. Col. Ronald Lao, commander of Sta. Ana Police Station, identified him as Rasul Bars Omar. The suspect was arrested after selling a shabu sachet to a police poseur-buyer in exchange for P500 money.

Confiscated from the suspect were three sachets of shabu P500 (buy-bust money) and a  RealMe smartphone.

According to the report, the total drug items seized weighed 3.62 grams with an estimated street market value of P50,680.

The suspect is now under the custody of Sta Ana Police Station for proper disposition.

Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr., director of Police Regional Office XI, appreciated the information given by the RCI, which led to the successful conduct of anti-illegal drugs operation. 

He said the operation made by PRO XI supports the PNP’s holistic approach to anti-illegal drugs.
