NABUNTURAN, Davao de Oro — Personnel of the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office joined the nation in celebrating National Heroe’s Day with the theme, “𝐾𝑎𝑏𝑎𝑦𝑎𝑛𝑖ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝑡𝑢𝑛𝑔𝑜 𝑠𝑎 𝑃𝑎𝑔𝑘𝑎𝑘𝑎𝑖𝑠𝑎 𝑎𝑡 𝑃𝑎𝑔-𝑢𝑛𝑙𝑎𝑑” during the traditional Monday flag-raising ceremony held at the provincial headquarter’s on the morning of Aug. 29. PCol. Benedicto F. Faco, officer-in-charge, said the simple celebration aims to revisit the significant milestone of the nation’s rich history.
At the same time, he said that everyone must pay tribute to the bravery of all Filipino heroes for their patriotic fervor and love for the country as they struggled to regain the nation’s freedom, including those who perished into anonymity.
“The men and women of Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office who continue to perform the PNP organization’s mandated tasks with utmost loyalty, dedication, and pride are contemporary heroes of our time who share the same aspiration for a safe, secure, peaceful and just society under an independent and progressive nation,” he said.
“There is always a hero among us, and the PNP as an organization will never run out of willing heroes who sacrifice their own safety for the good of the nation,” Faco added.
