128 curfew violators include 71 minors; 52 defy liquor ban

A total of 128 individuals were flagged for violating the curfew, and an additional 52 were also fined over the liquor ban in the city.

On March 19, Davao City adopted the recommendation of the Regional Task Force COVID-19 for a regionwide implementation of the curfew hours from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The liquor ban, meanwhile starts from 5 p.m. until 8 a.m.

According to records, the Davao City Police office rescued 71 minors after they were found loitering in the streets after the curfew from March 19 to March 22, 2020.

Capt. Rosario Aguilar, the DCPO spokesperson, said violators were given a lecture about the new curfew time before sending them off to their respective homes.

Moreover, 52 violators were given a citation ticket for violating liquor ban starting March 19 to March 22.
