12 people facing raps nabbed during `Undas’

PERSONNEL of the Police Regional Office (PRO) arrested 12 individuals facing criminal cases during the observance of Undas.

At the AFP-PNP press briefing at the Royal Mandaya Hotel yesterday, PRO Director Benjamin Silo Jr. said of those 12, five were considered most wanted as they were arrested either at the cemeteries while visiting their dead kin or trying to sneak into their homes.

Silo said among the cases against these individuals included robbery, rape and violation of the law on illegal drugs.

The office deployed personnel to cemeteries and other areas of convergence to enhance security of these areas. They also seized bladed weapons and other things prohibited from being brought to the cemeteries.

Silo also inspected these places during the long weekend.
