10 SP building workers infected with COVID-19

 

 

 

THE SANGGUNIANG Panlungsod building yielded 10 COVID-19 cases out of the 327 employees who were tested for the virus, Dr. Ashley Lopez, acting City Health Office head reported to Mayor Sara Duterte on Monday.

During her program over Davao City Disaster Radio Monday, Duterte said the employees were made to undergo testing as there were reports that some of them were exhibiting symptoms of the illness.

Although she cannot provide the exact number of employees working at the building, the mayor said she has ordered the Human Resources Management Office (HRMO) to provide guidance on their work arrangement.

The building has been placed on lockdown for a week until next Monday.

“I already instructed HRMO to send everyone for a work-from-home for one incubation period. That is for 14 days,” she said.

Among the offices where positive cases were found were the City Treasurer’s Office, City Assessor’s Office, and Civil Registrar’s Office.

She also said that transmission and infection in offices could not be avoided as long as there is a movement of people or employees in the workplaces.

The city government has advised those who have transactions with the to bring, particularly payment applications, to go to the City Treasurer’s Office in Agdao.

In an advisory, the City Civil Registrar’s Office (CCRO), said the processing of registration of death certificate and releasing of marriage license with scheduled release from May 31 to June 4 will be at the tent provided outside the City Planning and Development Office beside City Hall.

For civil registry concerns, on the other hand, will be accommodated at the Marilog, Baguio, Calinan, Tugbok, Toril District, Buhangin, Bunawan, and Paquibato district offices.
