WEEKEND VACCINATION | People’s Park, Crocodile Park now open for jabs on Saturday

THE CITY government has piloted its weekend vaccination drive on Saturday, Feb. 12, at the People’s Park and Crocodile Park in an aim to encourage even more Davaoeños to get their anti-COVID jabs

In an interview with the Davao City Disaster Radio on Friday, Davao City COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Dr. Michelle Schlosser said the weekend vaccination drive aims to serve more people, especially those who cannot go to vaccination sites because of work from Monday to Friday.

This will also cater to public transportation drivers, delivery service drivers, bus and taxi drivers.

“Open ang atong Crocodile Park as well as People’s Park. So, we are inviting everyone, labi na gyud atong mga drivers (Tomorrow Saturday the Crocodile Park as well as People’s Park will be opened. So we are inviting everyone, especially the drivers),” Schlosser said.

Schlosser assured there will be a short waiting time at the Crocodile Park to get vaccinated with the three-lane queue arrangement.  Currently, Crocodile Park has been used for Drive-thru vaccinations only.

Schlosser is also inviting vendors to be inoculated at the People’s Park vaccination site while persons with disabilities can also avail of the drive-thru at the park.

Schlosser said that the available brands for the vaccination in the said sites are Pfizer and Moderna.

Meanwhile, Schlosser said that the vaccination cluster of the COVID-19 Task Force is already planning to open all the vaccination sites for the weekend rollout. Schlosser underscored the necessity for people to get the booster dose as an additional layer of protection against COVID-19.
