WALK OF KINDNESS:  Icon Elites highlights unique talents through fashion show

DAVAO-BASED Icon Elites Artist Management (IEAM) proudly holds a fashion show highlighting Mindanao’s fashion textiles and wardrobes through its inspiring talents for a cause, together with the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines Inc. (DSAPI).

The remarkable event featured DSAPI, the event’s beneficiaries, whose five models from the association also performed in the runway show, showcasing prestigious Mindanaoan designs.

Paul Austin Pallada, IEAM president, shared that the show not only showcases talent but serves as an opportunity to increase respect and awareness for those who have Down syndrome.

“When I observed their cases the attention that we need is an act of kindness and it helps our society to be aware of the situation, that’s also one of the purposes why I connected with DSAPI,” he said.

Pallada said through the event, they intend to provide funds utilized for their feeding program. Art materials are also given to support their artistic endeavors and financial aid to help them with their needs.

“I wanted to understand more and to believe that there is something, that their talents will be put to use despite their situation,” he added.

The fashion show named ERA DE FASYON’ 2024 dubbed “OUR WALK OF KINDNESS 5th Anniversary Special”, was held at Aeon Towers, Sky Deck on April 13, and was attended by prominent fashion designers in Mindanao namely Davao Fashion and Design Council president Emi Alexander Englis, Paul Zabala, Robina Mangumpig, Gladys Ayuste, FEMME, and SIMPULSE collections, as well as fashion enthusiasts including Ash Sandoval and Councilor Atty.
