Vaccination in malls continues | official

THE CITY government will continue holding vaccination against COVID-19 for ages five and older in malls on Saturdays starting this week, Dr. Michelle Schlosser, COVID-19 Task Force spokesperson, said.

“Fortunately, na-approve na ang atoang mall vaccination sites na ma-extend until Saturday,” Schlosser told the City Information Office, pointing out that the sites are SM City Davao, SM Lanang Premier, Gaisano Mall Bajada, Gaisano Grand City Gate in Buhangin, Gaisano Mall Toril, Gaisano Mall Calinan, and Gaisano Tibungco.

These establishments will hold vaccination for first and second doses for five to 11 years old from Mondays to Saturdays starting at 10 a.m. The 12 years old and above population age groups will be accommodated from Mondays to Saturdays at Gaisano Grand Mall Toril, Abreeza Ayala Malls, and NCCC Mall Buhangin.

She added that the Crocodile Park and People’s Park will continue operating also for six days except Sundays.

Extending the vaccination rollout in those establishments was the response of the city government to the call of the residents, she added, as working parents can now bring their children to the malls so that they could get vaccinated.

This developed as Schlosser reiterated the reminder for the people not to be complacent to prevent the spread of the virus.

“Any other social gathering, pwede man gyud sya maging super spreader, especially when the people are not disciplined (Any other social gathering can be a super spreader, especially when people are not disciplined),” she said, adding that Mayor Sara Duterte’s order is for people to continue wearing facemasks as the virus has been lurking.
