A JOB fair targeting senior high school and alternative learning system (ALS) graduates was held at NCCC VP Mall, on Friday, May 17, 2024.

The Job Fair-Kalambuan Caravan expects to match 200 to 500 jobseekers with employers.

Cherrilyn Casuga, the co-chair of the Davao City Alliance for Out-of-school Youth Development (DCAOSYD), said, “Today we had one clear mission to facilitate the transition of youth and ALS through employment, education, and livelihood. Paving the way for a prosperous future.”

The job fair offers more than 2,040 job vacancies, and 20 employers join this job fair caravan. The event also aims to provide young job seekers with possible scholarships and engagement with industry partners.

The newly opened Davao City College has also offered a scholarship to youth who want to continue their journey in education and can choose various programs or courses. The event started at 8 a.m. for the opening ceremonies and ended at 4 p.m.
