THE BUHANGIN Police Station arrested two men in a buy-bust operation at 2:32 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13, in Holy Trinity Village near Salome’s Garden, Cabantian, Buhangin District.
The suspects were identified as Thomas Cusal Canas, 46, single, a resident of Tubo Tubo, Monkayo, Davao de Oro, and Rick Johnson Manigao Huerta, 31, single, a resident of Mainit, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.
Operatives arrested them when they reportedly handed a pack of shabu to an undercover officer in exchange for P9,000.
All the drugs confiscated from them weighed a total of 6.5 grams with an estimated market value of P104,000, the report added.
The arrested persons are now in the custody of the Buhangin Police Station and will face a charge of violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
