A TRUCK helper was detained after authorities found packs of marijuana in his possession while passing through the Sirawan checkpoint in Toril District at around 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10.
Police identified him as Mikhail Lorenz Alvarez Galupo, 30, a resident of Bayongbong in Nueva Vizcaya.
According to the report, Galupo was on board an Isuzu container wing van truck when a Cafgu personnel saw marijuana packs peeking through his bag during an inspection.
They seized two big sachets of marijuana worth P1,173 placed inside a black belt bag.
The suspect is now detained at the Toril Police Station as he faces a case for violating Sec. 11 of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared against the suspect.
