THE MANGROVES will feature the “Kasal, Debu at Turismo: Isang Pasinaya 2024:” expo in celebration of the 87th Araw ng Dabaw 2024 this Mar 13 to 15.
During the PEP Talks in SM Lanang on Feb. 27, Bryan Yuki Tan Almazan, operations manager of The Mangroves, invited travel and tour operators, live event suppliers, organizers, and coordinators to join the expo.
The expo will be a three-day event with only 18 slots available for exhibitors, suppliers, and operators. The Mangroves will also invite members of Team Maquillage Davao for basic makeup lessons and florists to give lessons on floral arrangements and basic styling in weddings.
Almazan said the expo is a way to sustain the tourism and events industry in Davao City by helping independent companies and organizers.
“It is also the goal of The Mangroves to help those organizers na makipag tie-up sa amin kasi we give considerations to them, especially those who are independent but also we have to be very careful na kahit independent or hindi pa registered yung organizer, marami kasi, ” he said.
Experts from the events and tourism industry are also invited on the last day to give a free talk to teach independent organizers how they can legitimize their companies. There will also be a special showcase nightly like live bands or comedians.
