A HIGH-VALUE individual was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Purok 18 GEM Village Ma-a, around 7:06 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), identified him as Jericho Castillo Lampa, 18, a butcher and a resident of Gumamela Street, Barangay 5-A.
Tuazon said the suspect was listed as the top 9 city-level target.
According to the report, the suspect was caught in the act of selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover cop of the Ma-a Police Station in exchange for P1,500.
Authorities seized another sachet of shabu from the suspect with a total value of P8,000.
Meanwhile, a bus passenger was also arrested after shabu was seized from him while passing through the checkpoint in Lasang, Bunawan on Tuesday around 9 p.m.
Police identified him as Anthony Bajenting, a resident of Bagontapay, M’lang, North Cotabato.
Allegedly seized from him was a sachet of shabu worth P6,720.
The arrested suspects are now detained as they face charges of violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
