Top 3 suspect yields P40-K worth of shabu

AUTHORITIES seized more than P40,000 worth of shabu from the number three regional target in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Miguel, Tagum City, Davao del Norte, on Oct. 25.

Police identified him as Edmund/Edmar Ricafort alias Mon.

Confiscated from him were three sachets of shabu, P2,000 buy-bust money, P9,000 boodle money, a 9mm G-Cherokee pistol, two .9mm magazines, 25 bullets, a phone and drug paraphernalia.

The total drug items seized had an estimated weight of six grams with an estimated Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of  P40,800.

The operation was conducted by the PNP personnel of Tagum City Police Station – Station Drug Enforcement Unit, Davao Norte Police Provincial Office – Provincial Intelligence Unit (DNPPO-PIU) together with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 11 of Davao Occidental and Davao del Norte, Coastguard District Southeastern Mindanao – Coastguard Intelligence Unit Davao Occidental and Mayor’s Office of Tagum City which resulted to the arrest of the suspect.

Ricafort is now under the custody of PDEA XI Davao Occidental Provincial Office for proper disposition.

Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr., director of PRO XI, said in a statement that the entire regional police will not cease enforcing its campaign against illegal drugs, in collaboration with other agencies and the community’s support.
