‘Thy Heels to Heal Others’: Icon Elites hold fashion show to help PWDs

WITH ITS effort to spread love and kindness this Christmas, the Icon Elites Artist Management (IEAM) conducted a fashion the proceeds of which would be dedicated to Our Lady of Victory Training Center in Samal.

The show was held at Poblacion Market Central on Dec. 16 where 37 teens to young adult models exhibited unique and sustainable cloth, accessories, and bag designs.

Pau Garcia, IEAM president and one of the show’s designers, said he wants to inspire younger ones to give and spread kindness through the initiative.

“Through our talents, we could support one another, and inspire kids to give to society. We will come up with donations, a feeding program, and gifts for them,” Garcia said.

Garcia said the raised funds will be contributed through a feeding program and prepared presents, given to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) of Our Lady of Victory Training Center in Samal.

The show is also in collaboration with the newest local and international designs of Jessalyn Yui Bundaon of General Santos City, sustainable and handwoven Megami Bags T’Nalak Inspired apparels, A line Brand and Hedz Fashion Accessories Jewelry, which were all showcased from the event.

Among the individuals who supported the initiative were Ceejay Peresores, Atty. Luna Acosta, Councilor Jessica Bonguyan, Bernie Al-Ag, Atty. Bai Hundra Cassandra Advincula, Councilor Jonard Dayap, Councilor Enzo Villafuerte, and other sponsors.

On Dec. 17, the gift-giving was organized in Our Lady of Victory Training Center in Samal, assisted by the Samal Island Chief of Police.
