Davao City – A three-way logjam for the overall lead was seen Sunday after surprising matches played in the 2019 Uraya 40s basketball league.
GJAPS Pirates along with San Miguel Beer and Lorejo Farms are all tied for the lead with similar 3-1 win-loss cards despite posting wins over separate foes.
GJAPS Pirates handed Lorejo Farm its first lead in four matches, 105-83 with playing manager Japs Sabio and Ching Garcia scoring similar 23 points.
Lorejo Farm despite the loss still manage to cling within the lead count having Glenn Lorejo and league commissioner Dale Gahito finishing with 13 baskets, each.
San Miguel Beer with co-team mangers Tonzo and Pombo outplayed Dominic Recto’s MDI Carwash, 101-62 led by Glenn de Guzman’s 20-point output for its third win.
MDI Carwash dropped to its fourth straight setback with Jojo Tejada scoring 20 points.
