The circus is in town!

Amazing performers in the Wheel of Death

THE EURO Xtreme Circus finally arrived in Davao City last August 13, captivating audiences with its breathtaking acrobatics, daring stunts, and mesmerizing illusions. Held at the Davao Digital Township grounds, the circus delivered on its promise of a thrilling two-hour extravaganza, as promised by show director Kenneth Lee and producer/illusionist Cezar Magic during the PEP Talks press forum at SM Lanang the previous month.

The show also engages the audience with some hilarious skits

“We’re bringing in the best in the field. It’s something that the entire family can surely enjoy,” Lee stated, whose company previously presented the London Circus in Davao City in the 1990s.  This time, Lee assembled a talented cast of acrobats and trapeze artists from the United Kingdom, Romania, Ukraine, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile, and Venezuela, marking the launch of their Philippine tour in Davao, coinciding with the Kadayawan Festival.

Between acts, the audience was treated to musical performances by Nellie and friends, and the comedic antics of Chupeti, a whimsical Ecuadorian clown, and Max, an Italian impresario. Their blend of humor and slapstick kept the crowd roaring with laughter.

“Night after night, our international performers never fail to dazzle the Dabawenyo audience. Apart from families and groups of friends who come in droves, we also have out-of-towners from nearby provinces who watched the show,” remarked Avel Manansala of ArtBox Entertainment, the show’s marketing and publicity arm.

On opening night, ArtBox Entertainment, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Waling Waling Davao, sponsored a group of children from the House of Hope Foundation for Kids with Cancer Inc., Field of Dreams Charity Foundation Inc., and Davao Boys Town to enjoy the spectacular performance.
