THE 2ND Philippines-Japan Environment Week aims to facilitate understanding of environmental and related challenges and identify potential opportunities for cooperation between the Philippines and Japan in the growing green business, with a view to building a decarbonized and resilient society.
A total of 600 participants from a wide range of stakeholders including the Philippines and Japanese governments, local government, private sector, research/academic institutions, international/regional organizations, and NGOs are expected to attend the three-day event.

PROGRAM
The focus of “The Second Philippines-Japan Environment Week” is opportunities for cooperation, business development, and engagement throughout the Environment Week.
In the opening session, representatives from the governments of the Philippines and Japan and the co-organizers will deliver their opening remarks.
The plenary session will feature a keynote speech and a panel discussion with the theme of“Collaboration Opportunities toward Climate-resilient and Sustainable Philippines.”
In the thematic session, the respective seminar organizers will present the theme of the event, followed by short presentations (business pitch) by representatives of Philippine and Japanese companies showcasing technologies and solutions.
Side events on corporate-level GHG measurement and reporting and sustainable design will also be held on January 13, prior to the main Environment Week program.
During the main Environment Week program on January 14 and 15, business networking space is provided to create new business opportunities, find new business partners, and expand their businesses between Philippine and Japanese companies/organizations. 20-30 Japanese and Philippine companies/organizations will showcase their technology and innovative business, facilitating business matchmaking.
