A JOINT buy-bust operation conducted in Barangay 23-C, Isla Verde, Boulevard on Sunday night, Jan. 26, 2025, resulted in the arrest of ten individuals, including a 43-year-old vendor identified only as alias Dol.
Captain Hazel Caballero-Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), said the operation targeted a drug den operating in Purok 5-A of the barangay.
Aside from alias Dol, 43, the other arrested individuals were: Raymond, 36, married, cellphone technician; Tenneson, 35, married, vendor; Mahmud, 21, single; Lester, 28, single, driver; Edzelson, 25, single, technician; Nelson, 33, single, vendor; Zhyrik, 22, single, vendor; Analiza, 53, married, housewife; and Floramae, 34, single, freelancer.
All of the arrested individuals are residents of Purok 5-A, Barangay 23-C, Isla Verde.
Authorities seized five elongated sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P348,160 from the suspects.
The arrested individuals are now under the custody of the San Pedro Police Station and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
