
- Over P1-M in shabu seized, female target and live-in partner arrested
AUTHORITIES arrested a 19-year-old female, considered a high-value target, and confiscated more than ₱1 million worth of suspected shabu following an entrapment operation around 12:52 p.m. on June 10, in Purok 1-A, Barangay Biao Joaquin, Calinan District.
The Calinan Police Station (PS10) Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spearheaded the operation, leading to the arrest of Aika, 19, jobless, and her live-in partner, alias Goryo, 28, driver.
Davao City Police Office spokesperson Captain Hazel Caballero said both suspects hailed from Montevista, Davao de Oro. She revealed that Aika was considered a Top 8 Regional Level High-Value Individual in the illegal drug trade.
The buy-bust was supervised by Major Robel B. Saavedra, Calinan PS10 station commander, with coordination from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency XI.
The raiding team inventoried four plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.
One small sachet, which was the object of the sale, had an estimated standard drug price of ₱34,000. Additionally, they found large rectangular sachets with an estimated standard drug price of ₱1,020,000, bringing the total to ₱1,054,000.
Police also secured the ₱16,000 in boodle money, a white iPhone 11, ₱700 in personal money, a gray/black sling bag, and a maroon Toyota Vios used by the suspects.
The arrested individuals will face charges for violating the Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
