Task group Bragas asks trike passenger to help its investigation

THE SPECIAL Investigation Task Group (SITG) Bragas on Tuesday appealed to the other passenger of the ongbak tricycle to surface and possibly shed light on the identity of the lady architect’s killer.

Meanwhile, the task group already has five persons of interest in the rape-slay of Vlanche Marie Bragas.

In an interview on Tuesday, Police Regional Office (PRO) XI and SITG spokesperson, Lt. Col Eudisan Gultiano, said “Yun pasahero nun ongbak driver bago napick up ang biktima maari makilala o mabigay nya physical description nun supect (the ongbak passenger might be able to give the suspect’s physical description).”

“We need their cooperation,” Gultiano said.

Gultiano was referring to the passenger beside the driver seen on the close circuit television (CCTV) footage. However, they could not ascertain if the passenger was a male or female.

Bumaba sya malapit sa Jollibee. One to two minutes after pagbaba nya. Pinick up yun victim (The passenger alighted near Jollibee. The victim was picked up one to two minutes after),” she added.

“The victim was the last passenger,” she added.

The investigators are trying to determine if there’s another man inside the tricycle, so the information from the disembarking passenger is critical.

The police also guaranteed the security of the passenger. “Hopefully, they will take pity on the victim. Maybe he/she can help,” the spokesperson added.

Recently, First District Rep. Paolo Duterte offered a P1 million reward for anyone who can provide information to identify the suspects in the murder of the 28-year-old architect.

The victim was reported missing around 12:30 a.m. and was last seen on board a yellow tricycle at Crossing Fausta, Calinan District. A witness claimed that there was another passenger when she hailed the Bajaj three-wheeler.
