Task Force Davao personnel bolster resilience with Trauma Risk Management Training

OVER 60 Task Force Davao personnel, including those manning critical checkpoints and stationed at the main headquarters, underwent a crucial Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) Seminar on Wednesday, June 4.

The training, held at the Task Force Davao Headquarters Conference Room in Sta. Ana Wharf, Barangay Leon Garcia, commenced promptly at 8 a.m.

Facilitated under the supervision of LTC Jose Ma. Adrialex C. Gumba, personnel officer, and CPT Romnick T. Gaffud NC from the 10th Infantry Division Station Hospital, the seminar equipped participants with essential tools to navigate the psychological demands of their high-risk duties.

While not a direct treatment for stress, the seminar is specifically designed to detect early the signs and symptoms of stress.

Participants gained a deeper understanding of trauma’s effects on individuals and learned practical strategies to manage stress and emotional challenges inherent in their line of work.

“This seminar is vital for those working in high-risk and demanding environments,” explained a representative from Task Force Davao. “It provides our personnel with practical tools and strategies to support their mental health and overall well-being.”

The Trauma Risk Management Seminar is a component of Task Force Davao’s ongoing commitment to fostering resilience and operational readiness within its ranks.

By recognizing the importance of peer support and actively working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, the unit continues to uphold the welfare of its personnel and supporting units, ensuring they are mentally prepared to face the challenges of maintaining peace and order in Davao City.
