Talomo police chief introduces new incentive scheme, awards top-performing personnel

TO PROMOTE better performance and service delivery, Major Genesis Palmes Oriel, acting commander of the Talomo Police Station, has adopted a new recognition and incentive scheme for its personnel.

Launched during the flag-raising ceremony on Oct. 7, the monetary incentives were awarded to personnel who consistently went above and beyond in their duties, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and commitment to protecting the community.

Under this initiative, field, and office personnel with the highest number of operational accomplishments—including RA 4136 violations, Anti-Smoking Ordinance enforcement, Liquor Ban compliance, Sobriety checks, and rescue of minors—will be recognized and rewarded weekly and monthly.

The top performers were: PCpl Alfazer Sali (1st) with 66 apprehensions, PSSG Sandro Molde (2nd) with 44 apprehensions, and PSMS Louie Cuison (3rd) with 42 apprehensions.

Major Oriel stated that this new incentive initiative aims to enhance performance levels and boost morale among personnel.

“I am certain that this will have a significant impact on our law enforcement operations. My men are working tirelessly to keep our city safe, and it’s important to celebrate and reward those who exemplify excellence and dedication in their work,” he said.

The acting station commander also emphasized to the public that this effort was not intended to burden the community but to ensure adherence to the law.

“Our main purpose is to help the community follow the law, not to impose undue hardship. We enforce city ordinances to maintain peace, safety, and order while working to educate and assist our citizens,” he concluded.
