DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Friday, Nov. 1, affecting customers in the northern part of Davao City. These are necessary to facilitate the construction of a feeder line for the new Lanang Substation.
To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for 30 minutes anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Specifically affected are those from Lanang area, from Lots for Less Pampanga, Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lizada Village, Azuela Cove, and crossing R.Castillo, Doña Pilar Village, Old Airport Road, Doña Salud, Legaspi Oil, Interco, PLDT SASA, Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa, Km 10-13 Sasa, corner DPWH Panacan, Hizon Elementary School, Pampanga Executive Homes, Nova Tierra, Fortune Homes, Insular Village, and Caltex Lanang.
Customers from Brgy. Lapu-Lapu, Barangay Centro Extension, Davao Fire Fighters, Kuilans R. Castillo, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, and Gotamco will also be affected by these scheduled power interruptions.
Additionally, those from R.Castillo Crossing, Grandland, Davao Diamond Hardware, Green Dragon Lumber Supplies, Choice Mart R. Castillo, Ubalde, Go Green Oil, Daikin Aircon Phils., Alterado Hospital, back of Porras Elementary, Villamor Street, and Malagamot Panacan areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
