Switching power interruptions on February 15 and 16 in Davao del Norte

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday and Sunday, February 15 and 16, 2025, affecting customers in Davao del Norte. These are necessary to facilitate a line stringing activity for the new Gredu Substation.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 45 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 45 minutes anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 16.

Specifically affected are customers from the entire J.P. Laurel Panabo going to Maharlika Highway Panabo Central Elementary School, including Panabo City Hall, Quirino Street, Quirino Extension, and portions of Cabaluna Street.

In connection, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 15 to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 16. Customers along Maharlika Highway from Panabo Central Elementary School to corner Bangoy Street including the entire Brgy. Sto Nino Panabo, and Rivera Medical Center, from corner Maharlika Highway to Tadeco Road up to Purok 4 Southern Davao Panabo, including New Visayas Panabo, Brgy. San Francisco Panabo, and nearby areas, will be affected by this disruption.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
